More than a screen
Open settings on a tablet and you see storage space and battery percent. Those numbers come from real parts. The screen shows output. The battery feeds power. Storage keeps photos when the power is off. The processor does the work in the middle.
Bits you learned about live in memory while a game runs, then may copy into storage when you save. The processor flips billions of switches per second to make that happen.

Speed and heat
When a game lags, the processor may be busy drawing many frames. When storage is almost full, saves slow down. Knowing which part is tired helps you fix the right thing.
Processors create heat because switching millions of tiny switches uses energy. That is why fans or metal plates exist in laptops.

Why this matters before gates
Logic gates are tiny switches inside the processor. Before wiring them on screen, it helps to know what job the finished chip does in your hand.
