Privacy
CodexLab is built for school students. This page says what we store, what we do not, and what stays on your device.
Who provides CodexLab
CodexLab is a product of Codextroop Technologies Pvt. Ltd.. It is developed and managed by Codextroop. The company website is www.codextroop.com. Codextroop is based in Lucknow, India.
No accounts
This beta does not have sign-up, logins, or a student database. We do not create profiles, and we do not collect email addresses through the app.
Progress stays on this device
Completed topics, quiz scores, and certificates are saved in this browser's local storage. Clearing site data, switching browsers, or opening CodexLab on another phone or computer starts fresh. Teachers cannot see a student's progress from a central dashboard in this phase.
Name on a certificate
A name on a CodexLab certificate is optional. If you type one, it is stored only in this browser so it can be printed. It is not sent to our servers. Use a name a parent or teacher is happy to see on a printout.
Code you run
JavaScript in the playground runs in a sandbox in your browser. Python, if you load it, downloads a runtime from a public CDN (jsDelivr) and also runs on your device. Student code is not uploaded to CodexLab for marking or storage.
Questions
